Evidence codes
From NMPDR Wiki
Evidence codes are used in the NMPDR to indicate why a particular functional role has been assigned to a gene. The evidence codes currently in use are shown below.
| Code | Name | Explanation |
| IDA | Inferred from Direct Assay | |
| IGI | Inferred from Genetic Interaction | |
| TAS | Traceable Author Statement | |
| ISU | In Subsystem Unique | The gene is the only one in the genome connected to the assigned functional role in the relevant subsystem. |
| IDU(n) | In Subsystem Duplicated | The gene is one of n genes from the genome connected to the assigned functional role in the relevant subsystem. |
| ICW(n) | In Cluster With | The gene is in a chromosomal cluster containing n other genes connected to the relevant subsystem. |
| FF | FIG Family | The gene is in a FIGfam with other genes having the functional role. |
| CWN | Clustered With Nonhypothetical | |
| CWH | Clustered With Hypotheticals | |
| DLIT | Direct Literature | The gene is assigned to this functional role in the literature. |
| ILIT | Indirect Literature | Similar genes are assigned to this functional role in the literature. |
